Too much light for Leather coral?

I have a 55 gal reef with 260watts of compact flouresence, My finger leather is towards the bottom and is doing great! But is growing and I would like to move it higher on the liverock. Will I burn/hurt it in doing so?

Not as long as you don't move it from the bottom to the top all at once slowly move it up and let it adjust at each stage. I had plenty of leathers in my 55 with 500 watts of MHs over it as my first tank and they did fine.

I doubt that you have enough light to be concerned with burning the leather, but as BK said make your move in 2 stages just to be safe, up to about half way and watch for a couple of weeks to see how it reacts. if all is ok then up a bit more and watch how it reacts.. good luck and keep us posted. happy fishin
