treating with copper

I have a small rainfords goby that has a sunken in belly... he always eats algae off the rocks and sifts the sand but im assuming he has parasites. I was told the only way to treat for that is to make a QT and treat it with copper.

My question is how do you treat with copper? Where do you buy the medication and how do you administer it?? Also, how long do you need to keep the fish in QT and keep treating it with copper?? Any help is appreciated!

Has he been eating, because it sounds as if he hasn't. He maybe at a point (with the sunken in stomach) that it's too late. Hopefully not, but...

I have never used copper so others will have to help with information. Sorry...

he never eats when i feed the tank but he always eats algae and sifts through the sand... i tried to feed him algae pellets but he doesnt seem interested in them
