unidentified anenome?

Got this from a friend shutting down a tank. He said it was a bubble tip anenome. Got it home and lit up. Doesnt look like any anenome I've ever seen. the ends are open? Any ideas what it is or what it eats.

here's a closer shot of the tenticles. There actually open tubes.

Ya, that is really strange. I would guess that is a tunicate of some sort

I agree with little_fish -- that looks like a tunicate. Not an anemone.
