Upgrade question

Im sure we've all heard this before, I got permission from the boss for an upgrade, from a 10 to a 30, so my question is, I only use RODI water and Coralife salt to a 1.024 senility, but when the new tank arrives, can I just gradually drain out my 10 to add to the 30 to assist in the cycle?

What are people's thoughts on the change over? I've only got inverts in the 10 right now, spikes have killed off any previous fish, so I'm going to move up in size to have a better system for fish and viewing.

I would just start over. just my two cents on that one. RO water is fairly cheap as is salt. No real need to put any bad stuff from your previous tank into a new tank

I could handle that, what kind of time line is one looking at for cycling a 30?
Not asking out of impatience, more so I can watch parameters? And work with them?

anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks. Normally 2-3 weeks though for 1 cycle
