using acrylic

I want to build a small filter box (1 or 2 gallons maybe) and I want to use an acrylic sheet. Will aquarium silicone work to adhere the sides together or do I need something different?

Silicone doesn't adhere very well to acrylic. You should buy a product called Weld-On. It is made specifically for plastics.

weld on #4 and #16 work great.
