V2 skim 500 skimmer

Hi i just got a second-hand v2 skim 500skimmer
and it's been on for 3days it's letting out lots of microbubbles in to the tank and very noisy is this normal due to the skimmer breaking in hope some one can help me thanks

Sounds like normal breaking in to me. Just give it some time.

I have the v2 400 and its been in my tank for 6 months and still throwing out micro bubbles. If your using it as a hang on then you need to get a good foam block to reduce the micro bubbles. Since upgrading to a sump system I don't have any micro bubbles due to the bubble trap and filters.
