Looks like a large bristle worm to me. As long as it isn't bright red, I wouldn't worry about it.

That's a WIDE bristleworm :shock: Don't let it sting you ;)

Eventually, they will start coming out of the rock every time you feed your fish. I have about 300 of those things in my tank. Needless to say, I wear gloves when handling my rock.

Bristle stars = ok to touch.....fire worm = not okay to touch....well from my experiance anyway....
