Wanna hear a short funny story?

Got a couple of skunk shrimps a few days ago. last night I found what seemed to be a carcus in the sand. I thought "ok one died and the other ate him. Hee Hee, he just molted......I DIDN'T KNOW THEY DID THAT!!

It definitely freaks a lot of people out the first time they see one of their inverts molt.

I fell for the same thing. I found an exoskeleton stuck to my powerhead intake and thought for sure I lost a shrimp. I then saw the same thing in the LFS and it clicked that these guy's shed their skin. My leopard geckos used to eat their own skin as they tore it off their own back or tail. Very interesting.
