Oh yeah! Been there. Lost a lot of money that way. I mixed up my salt and fresh water containers and topped off with salt water for about 2 weeks. next thing I know fish are belly up, snails and crabs are dead. What a mess I had. My advice... Be Very Careful with your water. Label the jugs if you have portable containers. Use ATO if you can. Wish I could but not practical with my setup.

In the summer and when I have my cooling fan blowing on my tank the evaporation is 5x faster.

+1 on the refractometer, it will make your water changes so much easier. to be honest, I don't know how people live without them.
