What can I keep in the fuge area of my sump? I was thinking of some snails but before I do, I wanted to check with you all to make sure I do not screw anything up. I have a 10 gal sump with three areas. Water enters an area of LR rubble and some cheato, moves to the center where my algae scrubber is, then to the return area and backup to the DT. The areas are all about equal size.

I would vote for nothing. Snails will crawl out and into other chambers including your pump area.

I think that snails would be fine as long as you put up some netting or mesh so that they don't crawl into the pump area.
