What is it?!

Just noticed this bug or work or snail or whatever the heck it in in a hole in a piece of rock. When I first saw it, it was facing the back of the tank and was poked out of it and looked like it was spitting something out. Then it went back in and lingered around a bit in there. It has a little snout looking thing and just is going along the rock like a snail would. What is it and is it bad for the tank??

Stomatella Snail. Apparently very good for reef aquariums so now worries on how to get it out :)
