I've never heard of a super male either, but I'm guessing it is the alpha male or head of a harem of females. Often times, you can have several male fish in a school, but only one of them will be dominant (alpha male). In land animals, this alpha male is usually the only male that is allowed to mate with the females. The other males just have to sit and watch :(

Biff has the right idea.In a harem,there is the dominant male(supermale),sub-males and females.The supermales generally are more vibrant than the sub-males and even more so than the females.

You can guess which one gets laid the most.

actually you are all wrong a supermale is a genetically modified organism. a normal male fish has a genetic make up of XY whereas a supermale has YY. this aids in controlling reproduction of commercial fish in producing mostly male progeny.
