ok, one more question ... how big of an area do you have for the skimmer, that can limit your options. But, as far as brands, you should look at ReefOctopus or E.T.S.S. Reef Devils

they're not too bad as far as price. But, when it comes to your tank your lights and skimmer are two areas that you don't want to skimp. If need be you should take some time and save the money for a nice skimmer

If you do a quick search on the forums for coralife you'll find that many people have problems with the coralife skimmer and would not recommend it

Try searching Craigslist in your area. There are always people who are looking to get out of the hobby and selling their used equipment. Don't be afraid to by used, just make sure you clean them properly with a good vinegar/water solution. Also, I try not to use the word "cheap" I prefer "affordable" :D Good luck to ya.
