    ok so i tried taking it out but it scurried under a rock it literally looks like a snail witouth a shell

    also my blue clam fell on its mantle from the rock i had it will that harm it any??

    There are snails without shells. It could be just that.

    But we wont be sure until we see a pic.

    i agree but its also about half an inch and i cant get a clear pic with my camera phone

    ALSO like i staed it went under a ROCK

    um also my clam hasnt closed and it seems to have
    shrunk into its shell

    Your clam should be fine. It may be irritated right now, so give it some time to get re-adjusted.

    Snails without shells are slugs. Most slugs (nudibranchs) are bad. If it had a flat, fingernail like shell, then it's a stomatella, which is good. Hard to tell without a pic though.
