What to use In between baffles to stop bubbles?

Are you talking about bubble traps? My cheato stops all the bubbles from the skimmer then I have a bubble trap before the pump. I dont get any bubbles in the pump section.

I have a thick piece of foam. Mine is a proflex sump and a hob skimmer. Stuck some flex hose in to make it work. Works good, just a horrible spot for nitrates to build.

Main reason for a sump IMO. To prevent bubbles from entering the main display tank. Most of us use sponge barriers between the protein skimmer outlet and the return pump(s).
