Not sure, but it looks like that's a fresh water or brackish tank. Is this your tank, or did you see this somewhere else?

yes, my tank.salt water for sure.caught him in the ocean,hangs out with damsels, sargent majors, near shore.

Then I would guess a hawkfish of some sort. On another note, the substrate and decor you have in your tank really isn't meant for saltwater tanks

Excellent point. I don't know if anyone has told you this yet... but once you take something from the ocean, it's yours forever. You can't put stuff back.

no,always swimming!someone said maybe snapper family?Would really like to find out.Biggest one i've seen so far is about 8 inches.see lots of them 1-3 inches.

How will you know how to take care of him if you dont know what he is? I understand that we are here to help, but maybe some of the creatures you are taking are better left in the ocean.
