Where do you get your corals?

Where do you guys get your corals? Do you get them mostly from LFS, online, other people? I really want to get some coral but everything at the LFS is so dang expensive! Is that just the plight of the fishtank owner?

I get most of mine at LFS. You need to buy a lot to get a good deal online otherwise shipping takes away what you would save. I also like seeing the piece before I buy.

If you have a good local LFS,then your better off buying from them.Mainly because you know exactly what your paying for.You can inspect the piece before you buy.You don't have to pay the shipping cost.
BUT you do need to educate yourself so that you don't have to rely on the people that work for information.

I buy everything local. There is a really strong local reefing club, i dont really like their ideas about how to run a tank, but they have nice corals.

+1 little fish. I am part of a local club as well. All of my new friends have given me really good deals on coral pieces compared to the LFS. And some of them even work there.

always better to buy local if you can . then you know exactly what your getting, and what kind of lighting it has been under..

We have Inland Aquatics near us, the largest fish store in the midwest. They are pricy, but you get your hook ups every so often.
