where is the cheapest place to buy tanks online?

    I would think that even small tanks would be very costly to ship. I would look on craigslist. You can usually find a 20 gallon tank for pretty cheap.

    What size are you looking for because if you wait, Petco does $1 per gallon sales. For all their standard tanks up to 55g.

    Glasscages.com - Home is a pretty popular place to order from. Shipping is very expensive for tanks, though. If you live in an area where there are not a lot of LFS nearby, it would be cheaper to rent a U-Haul and buy a tank from a larger city nearby.

    Do you research on glass cages, there have been quality issues with their stuff in the past. In reality though, freight costs are going to eat into anything you'd save by buying a standard footprint tank online, the only time I'd even think of having one shipped is if my plan for a basement remodel goes through - but that will be an all custom setup ($$$ any way you look at it)
