Which Hoses can I use

You will need to either get 1" PVC or an adapter to go to 1 1/4". As for the hoses, any hose that won't corrode should work.

Ribbed pool hose should work for the overflow, assuming you have the proper fit.
Pressure is not an issue with the overflow line since it is just powered by gravity. The main issue is that it needs to be able to keep up with the volume of the return pump.
Just make sure you get a hose that has a long service life and does not crack at the ribs.
If you want to use PVC for your overflow, design a path with the least number of turns, and avoid tight angles. Avoid completely horizontal runs - angle them down.

I think PVC is easier to use than pool hose or vinyl tubing. And much cheaper too.
