It's not that they aren't very hardy, it's just they are extremely prone to ich. If you get 1, make sure you QT it for at least a month and make sure it's eating good.
I only have 2 tangs in my 125 and they sometimes fight a little. A striped bristletooth (Ctenochaetus striatus) and an Atlantic blue (Acanthurus coeruleus).
