white stringy poo?

beeguiles

they call me fish geek ;p
About 4 days ago I got a longnose hawkfish...well all I've seen him eat is one peice of food. He's not active at all. Nobody is bullying him. And every once in a while I see him pooping out this white stringy stuff. Is that normal? The hawkfish I had before him very very active, came up to the surface to feed everyday and never had this white poop. All the parameters are in check. I did my weekly water change last night.

It's been four or five days since I got him and hasn't eaten. You think it too late to save him? I literally just dropped food on top of him and he just sat there. Didn't even notice the food.

At that point its never a good sign, but its an oral medication i believe. I would try getting it from your lfs. Also all you other fish are probably going to be infected, but as long as they stay stress free they should be able to live with it.
