what will adding too many fish in 1 month do?

can it throw off my levels?
i notice ammonia levels in my tank now, i never had those.
only time i had those, were when i was cycling.

any ideas?

it will cause an ammonia spike because your tanks bacteria level will not be able to convert all the extra ammonia coming from all the fish into nitrite then nitrate

Adding too many fish too quickly will definitely raise ammonia and nitrites, especially in a new tank or a small tank. In the beginning, it's best to add no more than one fish every three weeks, or a pair of small fish every three weeks.
