Wooden Air Stone?

Hi, I have a skimmer that is in my biocube that uses a wooden air stone. I have heard 2 opionions. One said to replace the wooden air stone each month and the other said you dont replace it...dont they wear out?

Who uses wooden air stones? Info so appreciated...

They wear out and get clogged with salt. You'll need to replace them.

I just got done ordering new wooden airstones. You want the Coralife limewood airstones. They are the only ones that produce fine enough bubbles for airstone driver skimmers. Make sure you get the right size.
