worms

I have small white worms in the back of my aqu in shaded area not even 1/3 of a inch problem or no ? p.s on glass look like maybe larva

most likely not harmful but just the same keep an eye on um.

ok maybe I was drinking the water the day I thought they were worns but they seem to stay in the same place no movement some sort of spiral looking pattern .Seen in book before but can't find. Don't some copepods or amphipods do this?

most likely Spirorbis spp. (spiral tube feather dusters (spirorbids)

-about .25 inch in diameter or larger fully grown
-lighting of no concern
-feed on particulate organic material and phytoplankton. survive on dissolved nutrients in tank.
-easy to maintain, harmless
-no special care needed to maintain these harmless animals
-copperband butterflyfish eats um
