Reefing newb
I am looking at getting a 75 gallon tank from a friend, the equipment included is as follows:

1. 75 gal. Oceanic salt water aquarium
2. 2 Iwaki pumps (one for sump, one for skimmer)
3. LifeReef 48 inch skimmer (VS3-48)
(Protein skimmer, ozone, skimmer, venturi, in-sump, hang-on, Euro, stand-alone. downdraft, needle-wheel, protein)
4. LifeReef wet/dry sump with 3 canisters & manifold (not sure what model)
LF2 wet-dry wet/dry trickle filter
5. Metal Halide (two 175watt (6500K)) lighting fixture with two 48inch fluorescents..
6. Magnum 350 filter
7. Wooden cabinet
8. Temperature controller & 2 heaters
9. 2 in tank small circulation pumps

Wondering if anyone can offer an caveats about any of this equipment. I am new to the hobby and am not sure if there is anything wrong with this set up. He said everything is working correctly. Price is very reasonable, 400 for everything! Let me know what everyone thinks.

LifeReef and Iwaki are both very good brands. That is one HELLUVA skimmer in those pics. That skimmer alone is worth more than $400. I would jump on that deal FAST.

Run,don't walk and snatch that up!!!!.Lifereef stuff is awesome, their skimmers are great and I see the wet/dry has the optional filter cylinders.I can tell you that skimmer alone cost over $500 new and the wet/dry with pumps is over $600 new....and your getting the tank, stand and lighting.I swear if it was near me,I would be all over it.

I'm running a Lifereef sump, refugium and skimmer btw.He/she was overkill with the skimmer though. The 48'' skimmer could run on a 300g plus tank.
