zoas not opening

we recently just got some lunar eclipse zoas and they have only opened up once since we have had them. ANy ideas whay they arent opening up yet?

you might have too much light for them, try putting them in a shady area with a different flow pattern

thanks hannah...i did lower them in the tank this morning cause i thought they might not like the light....i'll see how they are doing in the morning

it might take them a few days, i would give them a week and then move again if they arent doing better

ALWAYS start zoas at the bottom of the tank, lunars are some of the pickier zoas also, and it is normal for them to take 1-3 days to open

it has been a week since we got them n mw placed them in there so i dont usually move things but i put them in a better spot but knowing him he will be moving them again if they dont open up...thanks everyone

well they are finally starting to open. MW moved them all the way at the bottom... WOOHOOO!!!

Mine are doing the same things. About 2-3 on both corals of about 20-30 polyps won't open. Maybe I should move them and see what happens. They might not like the new T5's too much??

I had the same thing happen. They were getting too much light. Move them down. You light acclimated them, right?

Also, check ALL chems.

finally all three have opened and we have a new growth. they are loving there new spot!!! Im so happy they made it
