red fans????

I was looking in my tank tonight like a spend a lot of time doing everynight and noticed something completely different about some of my rock. One of my live rock chunks has had a few little bright red hunks on it since I have gotten it. They have never changed in like three months and don't move. They look like they are just part of the rock. Tonight I went in there and the biggest one has something fan like coming out of the top of it. Is this some sort of coral or would it be some type of worm or something, doesn't look like a feather duster. Ideas?

Sounds more like you might have a red sponge growing there, which is pretty cool if that is what it is. Can we get a pic?

I don't know if I can zoom in far enough, it is very small but I will try.

Best I can get it is the white fan looking thing in the middle of the pic. It is in a shadowed area on my rock. let me know if you need something better or more description and I can try
