COMMON NAME - Twinspot Lionfish (Ocellated Lionfish, Fu Manchu Lionfish)

SIZE - 3.9" (10 cm)

RANGE - Indo Pacific

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 20 US Gal. (76 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Meaty foods, marine fish, crustacean flesh, live grass shrimp, feeder fish, marine fare live and frozen for carnivores, feed 3-4 times a week.

AQUARIUM SUITABILITY - 6

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Will eat shrimp and smaller fishes.

CAPTIVE CARE - This fish is venomous and care should be exercised in handling, this is a dwarf fish and may be the most difficult of the lionfish to keep, some specimens will refuse to eat. Keep with less aggressive tankmates, overhangs, caves, crevices are a must for acclimation. Larger specimens are aggressive toward conspecifics and cannibalism has been reported. Not a threat to more active fish species. Venomous spines beware.
