I changed it based on the color indicator and the TDS that is mounted on the system itself. As far as the TDS coming in, I never checked it. Not sure if it really matters on how high it is, it still needs to be run through the system. The system itself was new, and it ran through the DI...
Anyone with well water have any ideas on how to make my DI cartridge last longer? It lasts for about 80 gallons of water, then I have to change it. I have well water with a sediment and carbon block, then softener, then another carbon block, and then the RO/DI system.
Might have been part of cycling rock ??????? not sure though. I pulled out an old filter and am running just carbon through it and seems to be getting better.
I am going to try some carbon in my skimmer return. I am only running a skimmer on this setup. I had a bio-wheel filter on my 55, and could never keep the nitrates where I wanted them. My 55 never smelled moldy though.

Go to a local electrical supply shop. Lowe', Home Depot might have it, but doubt it.If you have a Granger buy you, they can get it. Just have to have an account or know someone who does.
