I just put a Copperbelt butterfly into my tank and my yellow tang keeps backing his tailfin into the butterfly and will smack him around. They are not nipping each other. Anyone seen this?
I think my problems were coming from my water changes. I was topping the water off without saltmix because the salinity would get high during the evaporation process. The two reasons I am testing for calcium is to help combat the hair algae and to eventually get some hard corals.
I have a very low readings on Calcium. Any advice on how to get this increased....fast? I have just been adding 1 tsp of calcium suppliment daily so far. I'm thinking maybe a few water changes might be my next plan of action.
I have seen many in my tank already.....I just figured the mandarin would deplete them in no time. I will try the phytoplankton and see if I can get them to expand.
What do I need in order to get this process started? Do I just put the bottle of copepods in my refugium and let them multiply? I had one years ago when I had a smaller tank and of course it starved after a while. I was unsuccessful with feeding it with a feeding station. Have you ever had...
