thanks for all the help guys, just a quick question, i do not want to go too big with my first tank, but i am hearing that nanos are a bad choice, what would you guys suggest?

ok so i have heard good things and bad things about nanos, i have been told by a couple people that instead of getting a 29 gal nano that i would be better off getting a 20 gal with a 10 gal sump, what do you guys think and why?

sorry i was not specific, i am talking about adding fish for the first time to a tank not when they are sick

so do you think that i could get away with say one inch of live sand and some fake plants? or should i really put some rock in there too?

ok cool, as far as the qt tank goes, should i have lr and ls in it or should i just do water?
