are the only overflows like this one, just glass-holes and reef savvy right??

200$ for the 16" and 250$ for the larger! What?! I like the aesthetic of the overflows but for that price. Are they crazy. That's more then I paid for my tank. The 40b and 75. I'm going to have to come up with a different solution for my 40b.

Acrylic is definitely clearer then the standard aquarium glass tanks. I do believe it is around 84ish percent transparency. Because of its iron content which makes the glass look green. Acrylic is around 96percent. But you can get starphire glass which is around 94 percent.

So switching over to a water quality perspective. Will high nitrates also cause a washed out looking coral?

Ok. I see. We kinda said the same thing but not quite. So corals wont "color up" under a more 20k light. But their phosphorence will just pop more? What situation is needed to make corals color up instead of just pop?

Hey everyone, just want to make sure that I understand coral growth and color pertaining to spectrum. Assuming all tanks parameters are on par, a spectrum of about 20k will yield better growth of both soft, Lps corals and coralline algae. A spectrum of around 6500 will yield better color...

Hey biff, after that last post of mine I looked for Oceanic but no one sells it locally. We don't have a petco. Just pet smart.

So of course I had this test going for 5 hours and neither bucket is getting overly hot. Ive also been keeping an eye on the tanks temp since it has the hob filter still and no hot temp there. So either my tank has a mind and decided its tired of my tort and maybe my flower pot coral taking up...

I get home and look at my nano. The very first thing I look at is my baby. which is my Oregon tort and the thing looks like crap! so I reach my hand in the tank to adjust the frag to get a good look at it. And holy crap! The water is so hot! Usually my tank is rock solid at 80.3/4. So I check...

Man soooo much diversity here. I might as well pick one and shoot. Right now Im leaning towards red sea, esv, and Oceanic. Of course I want to go back to salinity but 80/bucket ouch! Also I want to try more then what ive already tried so I can be a more rounded reefer.

Can I ask you guys what kinda growth rates youre getting. I understand everyone's tank is different but you all know your own tanks and Im just trying to get a chance better picture. Mostly I look to my zoas for growth because my Oregon tort is a slow grower already.
