What I do is add Reef Buffer ( It raises my PH by .1 PH units and raises my alkalinity by .5 meg/l). I read somewhere that when your Alkalinity is low it is difficult to maintain your PH levels. Here are my :twocents: Good Luck

I have been using kalkwasser and liquid calcium for about 3 weeks now and I finally got my calcium levels to where I want the 420 ppm. Do I stop using the kalkwasser till I noticed the levels go down or do I keep adding it at night as a top-off.

It is on one of my rocks. Just saw it when I removed some algae.

I had the same problem I was getting cyanobacteria. I added two little fishes phosban and nothing happened. This week I added PURA Phoslock. I already see the cyano is turning a white color. I also added two more pumps for circulation and all seems to be getting better.

Just to let you all know, It seems that the cold water for a couple hours did not harm the polyps. So Far they look great.

My Heater let me down last night. I woke up with the tempature of the water at 72 Degress. Ran the closet petstore and bought another heater asap. The tempature change was only for about eight hours. Do you think this will affect my yellow polyps?

Tizapolgar, Can you post an updated pic of your yellow Polyps? Just want to know see how much the have grown in a month.

The first day they were closed and I was a little worried but after three days they are now opening. Today I fed the Cyclopeeze they ate and they seem happy. My Blue hermits also spend time hanging out around them too!!!!

If my alkalinity gets low can I use buffer at the sametime that Im using Kalkwasser?

Bought A Calcium Test yesterday and the results came out really low. So I started dosing with Kalkwasser this morning. Right now I just checked my PH and It is still good.

They also recommended leathers also. I have some polyps that im looking at but just making sure that I have all the parameters. I started running two little fishes phosphban just to make sure the phosphates dont go up.

Wanted to Start with some yellow polyps and mushrooms for right. My LFS told me that these would be good to start with.

I have coralife power compacts. I want to know the least amount I can run my lights to avoid the growth of algae.
