under the right conditions...but there are cyano baterias on my chaetos already competing, i don't think I have enough chaeto to overtake the cyano, it's like a tug of war in my refugium...

The problem is that the whole thing is filled w/ these bubbles...no joke...I need to get another batch and restart again, never getting anything else from that ebayer (seaside_treasures)...I also flush it in fresh water before and now it's dying, this time I learn the hard way, I will toss out...

oh dam these are those bad algae that spread like a plague...I need to remove them from my tank asap...btw, I'll be reordering some more, should I wash them first before I place them in my tank?

I need some help...I purchased some Chaeto off ebay and noticed that there are these weird attachments like some sort of eggs on all the Chaeto...what are these and are they safe to throw in the refugium? don't want to introduce any diseases...also, should I rinse these chaeto before i dump it...

I was trying to search up some wave patterns video but couldn't find it, I really would like to incorporate some kind of wave pattern, another device I'm also thinking is the SCWD squid for alternating pattern, but I like the night time and feeding function of the wavemaster... the vortech...

I'm considering the red sea wavemaster pro...I'm thinking maybe there's a section of the wave pattern that may have a constant water level

anyone has installed both wavemakers w/ auto top off system? I have JBJ auto topoff with floating valve and thinking about getting a wavemaker system, but if the water level is not stable, it would screw up the auto topoff system? anyone has any experience?

but is this killing off my chaeto?? I don't want the cyano bacteria to spread to the main display, what's the best lighting spectrum for chaeto? I'm thinking I should use halogen type bulbs instead of those energy saver bulbs for it...

I tried to clean my refugium and only find that I think my chaeto is dying...or it's dead already...i don't know what kind of weird purple film is? a type of algae?? will anything eat that? my tank has been running for 13 months and I have daylight bulb shinning on top of the chaeto, still...

Oh great to hear everything shuold be fine if I leave it there then...they just kinda disappeared in a few days, wasn't sure if they are hurting the water quality, but I'm just lazy to take it out, also don't want to cause too much drama for my other fishes...also just btw to note here, I love...

I see that my cleaner molts like twice every month, should you clean up that molt or let it be in the tank?? I've left it there, so far nothing has happen...hopefully it's okay...

i tried that before and when the lights are out, they just hide around the rocks or just stay on the bottom and won't come up.

I also have some chaeto as well in my refugium...I've tested phosphate at 0 too...if I turn off the lights, my corals and other fish won't be able to eat, can they last for 3-4 days?
