Lol, its about a half a inch thick on my walls of my frag tank. I know its affecting the chalice and acans its hard to keep my calcium about 350 and i want it at 475 to 500

I run halides, 2 purple, 2 white, and 2 blues on the t5's for tank in question. I'm guessing take the blues out or run them for a shorter cycle to see if that helps.

Does anyone else have a problem with coralline algae sucking up all the calcium? If so, what's the best way to stop it growing?

it's all i have ever used except when first getting into saltwater i used instant ocean. I use pre mixed water in a 500 gallon vat that is constantly mixing. also noticed that instant ocean for instance says makes 50 gallons...but in reality its more like 47 or 48 with the desired salinity(not a...

ok, so went up to my display tank to get a picture of the "mystery" tang and here it is from the side he was moving couldn't get a perfect shot but i assume this will work. And for sh!ts and giggles why i was up there took a quick pic of some coral and a mad duncan.
