Yeah .. the hair algae started after the tank cycled , then I added the chaeto a few days later.. I have an emerald crab down there ..but he's not doing much ..

I understand that ..the apex jr. Is around 250.00 usd. Another 100.00 for the leak detector. And 30 for each water sensor . I would want two.. but I can't seem to find out if I can program it to shut pumps off if it finds water .. so until I can get some answers .I'm gonna try a lower cost fix...

Looking at the jbj auto top off system .. after reading all the specs on it , it doesn't seem to have a timer incorporated into the fill pump ..and it dose not come with a hard wired pump , just an outlet for your pump that can handle up to 2amps so..in theory. . if I plug my skimmer into it in...

What sump did you use to replace it ? My challenge is i have i 150 high.. so it has a small foot print . now i over sized the stand when i built it ..but I'm lucky if i have 24 wide and 48 long inside to work with .. and I wanted as much water volume in the stand as I could get .

There is one ..it's the lower half of the bubble trap . 1 inch pvc maybe 4 1/2 inches long with holes drilled in the side, a cap on the bottom with a 1/4 inch hole in the center .. and it has the stock black sponge on it .. I'll take a pic of it tomorrow morning when I go to work , if you like .

On a side note . should i put some of the cleaner pack in the refugium. . It's looking a little hairy in there ..? ? A sand sifter ?
