I get my clowns at my job. I've tried ocellaris(sp?) mainly. I've also tried tomato clowns and a few sebae.Always the same result.

well let me ask you this, were do you guys get your clowns? Online?

The thing that confuses me is that my other fish are healthy. I have a sterilizer running, so I dont think I have any parasites or contaminates in my water

Has anyone else had trouble keeping clownfish alive? Do they have special requirements that I'm not aware of?

Yeah, afraid so.lol I'm eyeing the Nova T-5's T-5 Aquarium Lighting: Nova Extreme T-5 Fixtures w/Lunar Lights Seems pretty good to me, I'm just worried about my water temp. I really don't have space to add a chiller.

Thanks I don't believe thats accurate, however. They are normally compatible with coral. I've read that they have been successfully kept in reef tanks with no coral nipping/eating. My belief is that alot of fish that turn into coral nippers arent adequately fed. Just my two cents though.

He's doing great. I did some research before I got him. He's feeding on brine shrimp and krill. Quickly becoming the boldest fish in the tank. I cant keep any cleaner shrimp, however.

I've done some work on the 46 bow over the last few months. Thought I would share a few pics. I've changed the means of filtration. The canister filter was causing high nitrates so I swapped it for a double biowheel and 10lb more LR. I've also got the coralife...

heres a quick shot of my setup. The canister filter is currently on the right side below the tank. Thats where I would setup the sump.

I should have enough space for a sump, but Im confused as to how they are set up and how they work. I have a few 10g tanks around the house that I think I can use. What would I need to set up a sump?
