is turning on the filters and pump a bad idea when it's cloudy? it's not really sand floating around, i think it's just the leftover dust that didn't get washed off the sand...

Ok, Thanks. I also saw they had some smaller ones of the same brand. (2) 800 GPH pumps, for a total of 1600 GPH instead of 2600 GPH with the bigger ones. There's only a couple dollars difference between the two. Anyone think (2) 800 GPH's be okay in a 29?

thanks. i'm bending the rules a litle bit and have a 29 gal glass tank. I'd like to make it fancy, but eventually I'll need tips and opinions on what kind of equipment i should get. All in good time.

I recently started a saltwater tank after my long time interest in the beauty of saltwater tanks. Unfortunately, like others, I'm limited by budget and by Navy barracks regulations. So I'll have to work around that. Looking forward to advice and extra help. Thanks -mike
