    ok i think I have a better idea of what I want to do now. I will be ordering new baffles on monday. Glad they were pretty cheap. Getting the plumbing supplies tomorrow. What are your thoughts on a ball valve on the drain?

    I did not know the dimensions listed on a tank were just roiunded numbers. I had baffles cut and now they do not fit. It is listed as 13" wide but it is actually 12 5/8s. Guess I will not be gluing baffles until next week when I can get the glass cut. Rookie mistake I guess. If the tank...

    Does it matter what side the bubble trap is on? My plan right now is to have a 11 inch high baffle seperating my drain and skimmer. Then a bubble trap, then the fuge, then a 6 inch baffle seperating my return pump from the fuge.

    Rebuiding the 37 gallon.....

    I am going to split the return line and run it to both sides of the tank. I am also going to use flow accelerators. What would you recommend for power heads? Seems like a lot of flow with 3/4 returns.

    change of plans. I am going to be building a traditional sump with skimmer. What size for the drain and what size for the return? The sump is a 20 gallon high tank. Looking at a rio hyperflow 17 pump. Thoughts, suggestions, comments?
