I found this on a new pc of Indo rock from my LFS. I know what spnge looks like, but this looks like some kind of pod or egg sack? Any idea what it is or if I shoudl remove it? Thanks for the look!

I hope he survives. He had a pretty rough start. I brought him home after the visit to the reef shop and a couple errands. So he was out of their tank to my place about 2-1/2hrs. I discovered him and plop him in the tank....literally. About 10 minutes later...his little feeler things come...

That is my opinion as well Bifferwine. They are all in huge tanks together...kinda sorta by what you want and $$$. Will try feeding him when I get home.

indian sea star was my first guess....but they don't have all these bumps. THe knobby's I have seen have much larger bumps toward their centers.

I have been digging thru many pics on the web and have narrowed it down to a Orange Linckia Starfish. He is up in the corner of the tank now, but did come across the front of the tank and some live rock to reach this new spot. He did have out the little sticky fingers all up and down his legs...
