I found this on a new pc of Indo rock from my LFS. I know what spnge looks like, but this looks like some kind of pod or egg sack? Any idea what it is or if I shoudl remove it? Thanks for the look!

First post! I brought home two pcs of live rock and found this guy in the box on his back. Its about the size of the palm of your hand. What type of starfish is he? My tank is still cycling, do you think he will survive?:question: Thanks for taking a look.
