    Hi all, I am suddenly having a red algae problem...especially on the sand and not on the live rock....my tank's about 8 months old and everything was fine all along...any idea why it's happening and what I should do to fix it? I have attached a picture also.... Thank you for your help! Ram

    Clownfish swimming vertically

    funny...i got a pair of clowns yesterday (ocellaris) and they are both swimming vertically at the surface near the pump...so dorito and cheeto still exhibit the same behavior?

    the lid was never left open and I also checked the back champers of the biocube...it looks like the newer versions of the biocube have some kind of a protection and fish dont jump in there anymore...wont it eventually float on the surface?

    Dear All, One of my cleaner shrimps has molted...since I am new to the salt water tanks, I am totally confused. I mean, does the 'exoskeleton' look like the real animal itself? Also, should I remove that from my tank or leave it be as 'food'? I mean, who would eat that? Thanks, Ram

    I am actually doing water changes once a week now...I did three times a week for the first two weeks and once a week now for the next three...I just finished my 5th week of cycling... Can I do anything else to bring those levels down? Sure, I will do 50% water change tomorrow and see...

    Sorry for being incomplete guys...here are my numbers: Salinity: 1.026 pH: 8.3 Ammonia/Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: 80 mg/l Phosphate: 1.5 mg/l Alkalinity: 11 Magnesium: 1300 ppm How can I bring the phosphate and nitrate levels down? Can I add something to the water to bring them down? Thank you, Ram
