Yikes researching can give you a headache.
So I just upgraded my 55 gallon to a 135:^: looks amazing. So now I'm going to turn my 55 gal into a refug. The 135 gal I got (used) already has bulk heads and two overflow boxes (think that's what they are called). So I have two hoses out, two...
The first one I was told it was a Plate Anemone when I first found it (about the size of a dime) and now it's big and pretty. Double checking. We feed it brine shrimp via baster and it is fun to watch eat.
The second one looks neat and looks like/acts like some type of muscle. Hasn't caused...
Well I do have a large problem, fought with them for MONTHS when using chems and it just kept getting worse and worse since it's hard to find all of them. They will show signs when they aren't eating then you just sell them back to your LFS. So story short, problem is solved, I get my money back...

The one on top I know is aiptasia. The one on the bottom I blew it off with a baster and...

So you see two creatures the one on top I know is an aiptasia, the little guy below...
A natural way of killing them is getting a bergia Nudibranch (sp), I just got six of them. Peppermint shrimp usually will get used to eating what your feeding your tank and quit eating the aiptasia. I tried the the chems and only ended up having an endless battle with them.
So after fighting with an assortment of algae's, learning the hard way (killing things), now fighting with a forest of Aiptasia, realizing that a Mantis Shrimp is the culprit for my dying snails, watching my corals flourish, fish grow and strive, it has defiantly had it's up's and downs.
We...
So 6" of sand, as much live rock as I can fit, no baffle balls just use crush live rock as filtration, protein skimmer in the first section (where water hits first).
Since I'm planning on growing algae in my refugium should I put in snails or hermits in there? Or would that defeat the purpose...
Basic Info- 135 gallon tank has two overflow boxes and has been drilled for two water outtakes and two intakes, 55 gallon tank to be used for a sump, this is going to be a primarily coral tank.
Few questions
If I have a heater in my sump do I still need one in my tank? Or do I need one for...
I did some googling, I have a few different species of mushrooms and became curious. What I found was injecting them with lemon juice, kalk, or vinegar. Another way which isn't a way you will like is since it involves taking the rock out is soaking the rock is a mix of kalk and saltwater and...
I have a few fish and creatures, Fire Hawk, Red Headed Blenny (new comer), Randall Blenny, Clarkii Clowen, Maroon Clown, Fire Shrimp, Fire Scallop, Maxium Clam, Tiger Brittle star, and several corals.
