Google carnation coral, looks similar.

I had a couple that hitched a ride into my tank. Now over a year later I have about a hundred. They don't bother anything, I look closely almost every night. Really I have about 100 legs in the tank. They keep splitting apart, I don't remember the last time I seen one with all it's legs.

I have a large green brittle (12"+) he picked off one of my green chromis. I will not buy another. I keep him well fed and he's bin OK, I keep an eye on him though.

Thanks, I have my biggest 2 turbo snails in that tank right now. When the eel gets bigger i'll just put them back in the reef tank. Searching online gave me the same answer. Some people lost a few and some never had a problem.

Planning on getting a snow flake eel tomorrow for my fish only tank. Does anyone know if it will eat a turbo snail.

I agree with the Japanese eel. Wish I had a grand to drop on one.

Keep in mind that every time you add some rock your tank will go through a mini cycle. A pound here and there isn't bad but if you put 20 pounds in now and 6 months from now you put another 10 pounds in you'll start another cycle. I put 5 pounds of really nice rock in my sump and my feather...

Nice, how much live rock u going to get? I don't know what I like more sometimes, watching the fish or searching for new stuff growing on the live rock. This was my 55 at about 6 or 7 months

My guess is a sea squirt, if I'm right I'd love to know what type. It's on a large piece of live rock I got from Florida. So it definitely lives in the Atlantic off Florida.

I cycled a 120 freshwater with the Ace hardware ammonia. In about 2 1/2 months I was able to stock 50 Mbuna cichlids. My 55 saltwater I just used live rock. The saltwater took about half the time. I'm honestly finding saltwater to be easier. But like robb says need to make sure its' 100%...

I've read that clams that are 4+" really only need strong lighting. They don't need filter feeding anymore, or at least very little.

After water change check your levels once every thing settles, maybe an hour later. Check levels at least daily. If you have No2 and really high No3 I would do a water change every other day. Mix salt in clean 5 gallon bucket and let sit for a day. Make sure water temps are the same before...
