    New 150

Yeah after waking up this morning I saw a noticeable difference with the filter and power head running. I run a HOB filter just for carbon and never had an issue with my one tang. Any advice on moving a 75 gallon tank to a 150?

    New 150

Okay cool. I guess I could have moved most rocks. I have never set my previous tanks up like that before but I can see the point in doing that. My fear is moving everything and I was going to keep the water out of my old tank to put in my new tank. I'm just scared moving from a 75 gallon to a...

    New 150

So I've had a 75 for a year or 2 now and upgraded to a 150 and its been awhile. I put in 200 lbs of live sand. I poured in sand Thursday night and its still cloudy as hell. I even put the packets of clearing up water. I thought it would clear up quickly. I haven't been running anything on it...

    Metal Hal vs T5HO

I now have a new question. I hooked these bad boys up and it seems the spectrum of the light is only hitting the main part of the tank. Tank just doesn't look as bright as it did with T5's and there def seems to be some dark spots in the 2 corners. Right now I have the device sitting on top...

    Metal Hal vs T5HO

Alright so I went ahead and picked up the new light. I need some help on how I should adjust my corals to it. It has 2 ballasts- how often should I run one at a time, then both at once?

    fragging devils hand leather

I cut little pieces off and they did fine until they got blown off the rock- dont have a proper frag setup. Didn't have any nasty chemicals in the water and I think the devil actually curled up a bit more- where as before it was kind of a flat palm with extended fingers. Now it looks better...

Have emerald crabs attacked/eaten lps corals before?

I use pellets in my 75 and dont have a problem. nothing wrong with dropping a few in there with regular food. they sink to the bottom and everything eats them its not like you are introducing that much waste. If you are afraid of waste then feed less of one and add pellets into the mix, a good...

Have emerald crabs attacked/eaten lps corals before?

Are they aren't getting enough food. Try dropping pellets. They typically scavenge off of rocks and whatever else is in the tank.
