yea my rock looked super clean when i unpacked it. a week in the bath and it smelled like the day i put it in. so far so good

bigger is better for the sump, more water volume will help maintain parameters. i would go with the biggest that will fit (20-30 gallons) also keep in mind room for storage if needed/wanted.

i bought the dry rock BL1, and i was just trying to cure this not cycle i new tank, i should have been more clear about that. ive just read that some people have some serious die of with this, i just want to be safe before i ad it to my DT

ok, so i ordered 50lbs of Marco rock and it came in last week. it went from the shipping box right into a Rubbermaid tub with RO/DI saltwater, heater, small live rock from my sump, and a power-head. the rock looks great and im very impressed with the quality, also had maybe 2-3 ounces of rubble...

i just got a 120g tank, stand, lights, canopy, reef octopus, powerheads.... the list goes on. for $400 :-) i would concentrate on narrowing down the size and plans for how you want to run the system, if you don't mind buying used all it takes is a waiting game.

i would contact the manufacturer and try to get replacements

is it really only heated to about 70deg? shouldnt it be around 75-78?

I've looked at tons of pictures and i just cannot tell what this stuff is... the second pic shows only the one that has opened so far. They're brownish tube which opens up with green centers. Thanks for the help!
