10 gallon lighting options

What do you think of this fixture for my ten gallon? Trying to research as much as I can. Have to get the most light for my money. My boyfriend is going to kill me :P

Also read somewhere that just one of these wouldn't be enough light for a ten gallon? Any thoughts on that?

Depending on what you want to do with the tank.......................I would go with the Rapid LED Par 38 bulb.

I think a single par38 would be fine, the higher light stuff wound need to be in the center of the tank, and medium/lower light stuff would be at the edges I would think

Everytime I see PAR38 bulbs, I think of this:
They are so easily concealed in cool lampshades what not

That's awesome. Being able to pick out what to put the bulb in is half the fun of the PAR 38. I think I will go that route and just use one. All I want is softies and LPS. I can put the LPS closer to center. Thanks for the input :)

I have this over a frag tank.

The sockets were 6.00 at IKEA.

I think they are only 1 watt LED's, and the industry standard now is 3 watt. I still think so far, your best bet is the Rapid Par 38 bulb.

If you do decide to go with the RapidLED bulbs, I know those guys personally. They are super easy to deal with, and are spot on when it comes to customer service. Send Mike and Email with any questions you might have.

These guys also retro'd my Nano hood, so I have product for reference.
