6-Line Wrasse Behavior

Just got one of these yesterday! It swims in and out of rock all day and doesn't swim with the other fish, is this normal? When feeding he doesn't come out to eat he just swims in and out of every crevice in the rock and we haven't seen him eat. Is he eating off the rock and just catching stuff that floats behind the rock that the others don't get?

Sounds exactly like my six-line. I've had him for two months and only recently have I've seen him snatch a piece of frozen during feeding. They do pick off the rocks all day long so as long as you continue to see him and he looks fat and happy I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank You :) We do have copepods all over our rock so hopefully he's eating those when/if he's not eating food.

That's normal. They don't school with other fish, so don't expect much if any interraction between them.
