72 or 55

So I am debating on moving my freshwater chiclids to a bigger tank as they are growing fast. I have been looking at a 55 long, or a 72 bowfront.

The 55 is longer then the 72 but the 72 is deeper and taller. What do you guys like in tanks? Longer and shallow, or taller, deeper but not as long

I swear if anybody makes any dirty jokes about that last sentence I will be very angry >_>

Well no, at first I had it without the spaces but it turned the semicolon and parenthesis into a smiley face. So I had to go back to edit it to put the spaces between the parenthesis and semicolon so that the smiley face would disappear.
