A couple new additions

Thanks, OscarsDad. It seems to be one of the best additions to the tank, yet less than a lot of coral frags around here ($35). The kids really enjoy it as well.

I was looking for some really colorful zoanthids. One of the guys in my local club offered some to me, no charge! Really generous of him. He also threw in an orange digi and a single head of a green favite. I'm also posting another pic of the clam and duncans since I am starting to understand how to use the camera better.

Green Favite (didn't do well from above the tank, but has feeders out and looks mint green):

And tonight is the club meeting ... maybe I'll bring something else home.

Thanks all. My daughter joined me for tonight's reefing club meeting. She must be something because we came home with a bundle! We brought home more orange digi (one piece 3" - 4" long), xenias (they will go in her 10 gal tank eventually), two acros the size of a baseball (each), stary night zoanthids, three green furry mushrooms, a pink birds nest, a purple encrusting monit, and a Capital District Marine Aquarists Society polo shirt :bounce:. What a night!

Not to mention we have worked on a final date for the CDMAS 2009 Captive Propigation Frag Swap. For anyone in the Albany, NY area, it will be in February.

By the way, I'll post pics when I can.

Good lluck with the new corals. Meetings are fun aren't they. My wife laughs at me, because I am going to a beginners class in a few weeks just so I have someone to talk reef with. When I talk to her about it her eyes kind of glaze over and it looks like she is looking into space.

Yeah, meetings are great. They are even better now that my daughter is into it. In fact, my oldest son saw all the new additions and wants to go to a meeting now. He just has to get time off of work.

I would really suggest getting a background color. It helps hide the equipemt and the coraline is just going to make shadows if you have light coming from behind it.

After seeing black and having blue I highly suggest BLACK! Never again will I have a tank with a blue background SUCKS! The 220 will be getting a visit from the Dutch Boy.
